HCHC Trustees Celebrate 100 years

trusteesIn January of 1920, the Board of Trustees for Henry County Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, now known as Henry County Health Center, held their very first meeting. Now 100 years later, the HCHC Foundation held a special dinner to celebrate that first official board meeting.

On January 23, 2020, the Foundation invited all surviving and current trustees, along with past Chiefs of Medical Staff, to a dinner celebrating this milestone 100th anniversary. The meal was prepared by Carmen Miyoshi, HCHC Food Service Director, along with dietary staff, and featured a menu indicative of food served during the 1920’s time period.

The Trustee dinner is the first of many events planned to celebrate HCHC’s 100th anniversary that will be observed in December 2021. The special events planned for HCHC’s 100th will be announced at a later date.
