Great River Klein Center to host interviews, open house for nursing staff

Great River Klein Center will host open interviews and an open house for certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses from 1 to 6 p.m.Wednesday, March 2. Tours will be offered every 30 minutes and refreshments will be available. The address is 1307 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington.

Great River Klein Center provides long-term and skilled care for up to 160 elders. They live in small “households” of 16 people.Everyone who works in a household is a nurse or certified nursing assistant/universal worker. Like family members at home, they help elders with all their needs, including personal care, eating and activities. They work consistently with the same elders so they know elders’ likes and dislikes, and understand their decision-making abilities.

Great River Klein Center has 10 households. Town Center is in the middle of the building. It holds a beauty shop, chapel, coffee shop, Gathering Hall, library and restorative gym.

Besides attending the open house, certified nursing assistants, licensed practical nurses and registered nurses can apply online at www.greatrivermedical.org.
