A Matter of Balance

A Matter of Balance is an eight-week program that helps older adults reduce their fear of falling and increase activity levels. Participants learn to:

  • View falls as controllable
  • Set goals for increasing activity
  • Make changes to reduce fall risks at home
  • Exercise to increase strength and balance

ABLE – A Better Life Every day

This program is for people who have difficulty reaching or maintaining a healthy weight. Participants:

  • Meet with fitness specialists to create personalized exercise plans
  • Get exercise booklets with cardiovascular and resistance exercises every week
  • Have medical fitness checkups every three months to track progress

Arthritis Aquatics

Doing gentle exercises in our 92-degree therapy pool helps:

  • Reduce pain and muscle tension
  • Restore flexibility
  • Maintain normal joint movement

Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III

Cardiac Rehabilitation Phase III helps improve strength, endurance, and wellness in people who have cardiac and pulmonary conditions. Participants who have completed Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Phase II exercise independently in the Wellness Gym at specific times while being monitored by fitness specialists. Heart rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation are checked before, during and after exercise. A physician’s referral is required.

Delay the Disease

Delay the Disease is a supervised exercise program for people with Parkinson's disease. Specific exercises, weight training and activity may delay physical symptoms of the disease. The program consists of a fitness specialist leading stretching and exercising for one hour. Staff will make changes in your workouts based on your improvement and limitations.

FAME – Fitness And Mobility Exercise

FAME helps improve strength, balance and cognition losses that result from having a stroke. Participating in supervised exercise also helps improve lung function and cardiac health to reduce the risk of another stroke or heart disease.
